Territorial and Mental Borders: Stories of Overcoming and New Beginnings

We are all immigrants. Not only because some of us cross physical borders to find a new home, but because throughout our lives, all of us cross emotional, professional, and personal frontiers. Life itself is a continuous journey of change and transformation, a path in which we constantly migrate from one stage to another, pursuing our dreams and adapting to new challenges. This is the author’s story, but it is also the story of each one of us: a testimony of how changes, no matter how difficult they are, mold us and take us to new beginnings. Norma Brenes, a Costa Rican native, completed her undergraduate studies in the United States, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She holds a Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, and Orientation, a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-profit Organizations, and a Postgraduate degree in Mental Health. With over 20 years of professional experience, she presents her book “Territorial Boundaries: Stories of Overcoming and New Beginnings”, in which she masterfully addresses physical, emotional, professional, and personal boundaries.
